Summer is ending, but your peace of mind doesn’t have to. The last weekend of August is a threshold moment. This End of Summer Yoga Retreat (August 28–30) is an invitation to cross that threshold consciously. We offer you the space to let go of summer’s intensity and prepare your body and mind for the change of season in the stillness of the Navarre Pyrenees.
Guided by a Psychologist (Saint Louis University graduate) and Yogi with 40 years of practice, this is not just a holiday; it’s a transition tool. You will learn how to conserve the energy gained during your vacation so that September inspires you rather than drains you.
Why this retreat is the smartest way to end August
- The Palace of Peace: You will stay at Casa Marterena, our 13th-century Palace. Its ancient stone walls offer a sanctuary of absolute silence, ideal for integrating your summer experiences and resting deeply before the return to routine.
- Breathe in the New Season: We will take our final summer walks in the Irati Forest. The crisp mountain air and deep green of the trees clear the mind of future worries, anchoring you firmly in the present moment.
- Transition Yoga: Hatha and Kundalini Yoga practices designed to stabilize your energy. We move from the expansion of summer to the gentle introspection of autumn, balancing the nervous system.
- Psychology for Change: Workshops focused on managing change and stress. Learn simple yet powerful strategies to maintain your emotional center when your schedule fills up again.
- Sound and Silence: Sessions of Yoga Nidra, Gong baths, and Shamanic Drumming. These vibrations help “reset” the brain, facilitating mental clarity that you will appreciate in September.
- Harvest Kitchen: Full-board organic vegetarian cuisine. Enjoy the abundance of the late-summer garden, with nutritious dishes that prepare your body for the seasonal shift.
