When summer reaches its peak intensity, the body craves a pause. August is often synonymous with noise and crowds, but this Yoga & Walking Retreat (August 7–9) offers the exact opposite: silence, fresh mountain air, and genuine connection in the heart of the Navarre Pyrenees.
Guided by a Psychologist and Yogi with 40 years of experience, this holiday is an oasis for your mental health. Far from the packed beaches, you will find the professional tools and natural environment needed to truly rest and recover your center.
Why Choose this “Cool & Calm” August Break?
- The Stone Refuge: You will stay at Casa Marterena, our 13th-century Palace. Its historic stone walls act as natural insulation, guaranteeing cool nights and restorative sleep—a true luxury in August.
- Oxygen in Irati: We will practice mindful walking and “Forest Bathing” in the Irati Forest. Contact with this ancient ecosystem reduces thermal stress and mental fatigue, returning your vitality.
- Restorative Yoga: Hatha and Kundalini Yoga sessions designed to balance summer’s excess energy, cool the nervous system, and release tension accumulated from heat or travel.
- Psychology of Wellbeing: Practical workshops to learn how to switch off your mind’s “alert mode” and cultivate a calm presence that you can take back home.
- Healing Sound: Immerse yourself in the vibration of Yoga Nidra, the Gong, and the Shamanic Drum. These sessions facilitate a state of deep relaxation, ideal for improving sleep quality.
- Vital Nutrition: Full-board organic vegetarian cuisine. Enjoy the intense flavors of our summer garden, with light, nutritious dishes prepared with care.
