August doesn’t have to mean crowds and scorching heat. While the coast boils, the Navarre Pyrenees offer a secret paradise of fresh mountain breezes, deep green forests, and tranquility. This Yoga & Nature Holiday (July 31–Aug 2) is the perfect reset button for your summer—a chance to trade humidity for fresh air and noise for birdsong.
Guided by a Psychologist (Saint Louis University graduate) and Yogi with 40 years of experience, this holiday goes deeper than a standard tourist trip. It combines the adventure of exploring “Green Spain” with the profound mental and physical rest that only professional yoga and psychology can provide.
Why this is the smart choice for August
- Escape the Heat: You will stay at Casa Marterena, a 13th-century Palace with massive stone walls that keep the interior naturally cool, ensuring you sleep deeply and comfortably even in high summer.
- The “Green Spain” Experience: We are located near the Irati Forest, a lush, ancient woodland that feels like a fairy tale. Our mindful walks here are not just hiking; they are “Forest Bathing” sessions proven to lower stress and revitalize the spirit.
- Accessible Adventure: This retreat is perfectly timed for travelers flying into Bilbao (BIO) or Biarritz (BIQ)—major hubs with direct connections to Dublin, London, and Frankfurt. It’s the easiest way to experience the wild beauty of Northern Spain.
- Professional Guidance: Daily Hatha and Kundalini Yoga sessions to release travel tension, combined with psychological workshops to help you truly unplug from work mode.
- Vibrational Healing: Experience the power of the Gong and Shamanic Drum in our ancient meditation hall, harmonizing your energy for the month ahead.
- Organic Garden Cuisine: Enjoy full-board vegetarian meals prepared with organic vegetables from our own garden. Light, nutritious, and incredibly flavorful.
