The “Green Spain” Experience: Cool Air, Deep Rest

While the rest of Southern Europe sizzles in July, the Northern Pyrenees breathe. This is the secret of the “Green Spain” summer: fresh mountain air, ancient forests, and profound silence. This 6-Day Yoga Holiday takes place during the St. James Festival (Santiago), offering you a unique opportunity to experience the spiritual energy of the pilgrimage route without the hardship.

Guided by a Psychologist (Saint Louis University graduate) and Yogi with 40 years of practice, this extended stay allows for a complete system reset. It is a bridge between the ancient wisdom of the Camino and modern psychological well-being.

Why choose this 6-Day Immersion?

  • A Historic 13th-Century Sanctuary: You will reside in Casa Marterena, our restored medieval Palace. The thick stone walls act as natural air conditioning, providing a cool, silent cocoon for deep sleep and relaxation during the summer peak.
  • The Spirit of the Camino: Located near Roncesvalles—a key gateway to the Camino de Santiago—we will tap into the area’s spiritual history. You will experience the “Way” through mindful walking and meditation, minus the crowded hostels.
  • Forest Medicine in Irati: With six days available, we dive deeper into the Irati Forest. Extended forest bathing sessions in this massive beech woodland will help lower cortisol and re-oxygenate your body.
  • Yoga & Psychology: Daily sessions of Hatha and Kundalini Yoga to release physical tension, paired with psychological workshops to help you unplug from the “rush culture” of daily life.
  • Garden-to-Table Dining: Full-board organic vegetarian cuisine. We use produce from our own gardens to create light, Ayurvedic-inspired meals that fuel your vitality without weighing you down.
