When the outside world turns up the volume, the Pyrenees offer the perfect refuge. July brings the brightest light of the year — and often the first signs of accumulated fatigue. This Yoga and Meditation Retreat in the Pyrenees (July 10–12) invites you to pause, step away from demands, and reconnect with stillness in the calm embrace of the forest.
Led by a psychologist and a yogi with 30 years of experience in yoga and meditation, this retreat bridges professional psychology and embodied awareness. More than a restful weekend, it’s an immersive experience designed to help you understand the roots of your exhaustion and restore emotional balance.
Reviews & Experiences from Our Guests
Discover what guests have shared about their experience at our Summer Yoga & Meditation Retreat in the Pyrenees — days of deep rest, forest silence, and emotional renewal that continue to resonate long after returning home.
“I arrived exhausted and left feeling like I could breathe again. The combination of psychology workshops, yoga, and the stillness of the forest was exactly what I didn’t know I needed.”
“Sleeping in a 13th-century palace surrounded by mountains was magical, but what truly stayed with me was the sense of emotional clarity I gained. I went home calmer, lighter, and more focused.”
“The forest walks, the gong baths, and the gentle guidance created such a safe space to truly switch off. I haven’t slept that deeply in years.”
Why This Retreat is Your July Sanctuary
- A Fortress of Stone and Stillness: You will stay at Casa Marterena, a restored 13th-century Palace. The ancient stone walls maintain a perfect natural temperature and provide a physical sense of security that allows the nervous system to let go of urban stress.
- Forest Medicine in Irati: Mindful walks and forest bathing in the Irati Forest, Europe’s second-largest beech and fir woodland. The oxygen-rich mountain air is a natural treatment to lower cortisol levels and regulate anxiety.
- Integrated Energy Work: Daily Hatha and Kundalini Yoga sessions specifically sequenced to release chronic physical tension in the back and shoulders, restoring the body’s natural agility.
- Psychology for Resilience: Professional workshops focused on understanding the patterns of chronic stress and learning how to set healthy boundaries in your professional and personal life.
- Deep Vibrational Rest: Experience the profound relaxation of Yoga Nidra, Gong baths, and Shamanic Drum sessions to facilitate restorative sleep and neurological repair.
- Ayurvedic Soul Food: Enjoy full-board organic vegetarian cuisine. Every meal is prepared with fresh produce from our own gardens to nourish your vitality from the inside out.
