The Forest is Calling: Silence & Renewal

September is the “Golden Month” in the Pyrenees. As summer fades and the air turns crisp, nature invites us to turn inward. This Yoga & Nature Retreat (September 11–13) is a complete immersion into that process. We invite you to disconnect from urban noise and synchronize your rhythm with the trees, in a setting of serene beauty and pure air.

Guided by a Psychologist (Saint Louis University graduate) and Yogi with 40 years of practice, this gathering uses nature as therapy. Here, silence is not emptiness, but a fertile space where you can hear yourself clearly again.

Why is this retreat unique in September?

  • The Stone Refuge: You will stay at Casa Marterena, a 13th-century medieval complex. Its ancient walls breathe history and offer natural acoustic isolation, creating a bubble of peace perfect for deep sleep.
  • Forest Bathing (Shinrin-Yoku): We will practice mindful walking in the Irati Forest. Breathing in the wood essential oils (phytoncides) during this seasonal shift boosts the immune system and drastically reduces cortisol.
  • Organic Yoga: Hatha and Kundalini Yoga practices that mimic natural cycles: fluidity to release and stillness to ground. We adapt every asana so your body feels free and strong.
  • Psychology & Silence: Workshops on how to use silence as an emotional management tool. Discover how a conscious pause can be more productive than constant action.
  • Vibrational Healing: The resonance of the Gong and Shamanic Drum in our stone hall creates an enveloping experience that massages the nervous system and dissolves energetic blockages.
  • Garden-to-Table: Full-board organic vegetarian cuisine. Our kitchen is based on seasonal produce from our own garden: food full of prana (vital energy) that nourishes and detoxifies.
